GVBL manufactures and markets biofertilizer commercially to promote organic farming, and uses it in its own cultivation as well.

Our biofertilizer is a 100% natural peat moss. Peat moss is a plant that thrives in oxygen-poor environments, and after it dies its decomposition takes thousands of years — a property that gives its cells exceptional water and nutrient retention, which can later be released to plants.

GVBL operates a commercial plant tissue culture laboratory with a current production capacity of 3 million plants per annum.

Our lab produces 1.5 million tissue-cultured plantlets of Grand Nain Banana (Musa Acuminata) every year. Elite mother plants are carefully selected using stringent criteria.

Genetic fidelity tests are conducted to ensure true-to-type plants, along with virus indexing against all known banana viruses. Disease-free clones are micropropagated and developed into robust plantlets using a proprietary combination of growth hormones and media components.
